As the Holidays come to a close, I like to reflect upon the year as a whole...
The Good, The Bad, The Ugly and Embarrassing, but at least I can say I lived
life... maybe not to the FULLEST this year, but it was great overall.
• 20 Year Reunion
• TV Writers Strike... BOOOO!!!!!
• FOO FIGHTERS at Cox
• Drunk, Confusing, Silly, Stupid Girls
• LTJ / Chris Cornell twice / MFATGG /
• Meeting Sylar at Comic-Con
• The Dark Knight (my top movie of the year with Iron Man #2)
• Positive results on an very important election
Biggest Positive - Starting at a new job (one that appreciates me)
Biggest Regret - Passing on an 800 person FF show in LA
Trying to do a list of things to accomplish in 2009 (some still
on from last year): Be Creative, Blog, Yelp, Shoot Photos, Draw,
Exercise (Bike, Basketball, Golf),Eat better, Read, Experience
New Music, Pay off Bills, and Work smarter.
Like everyday in my life, I feel lucky for my career,
friends, family, job, love, car, cat, creativity, and life.
Thank you. Good Night and Good Luck.

I LOVE this time of year.... The cold weather, the holiday spirit,
the tacky Christmas decor, but most of all - the friends and family.
Had my annual Xmas party on Friday the 19th at Buca Di Beppo.
I had a great time as usual - great food, drinks, conversation
(umm... for the most part). It sounded like everyone had a
great time as well. I love seeing my friends happy
and enjoying themselves.
It was nice to see a mix of old and new friends talking, the kids
having fun, and the adults acting like kids. Jeremy was the recipient
of the LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD which he thoroughly embraced.
A handful of us ended up at the BlueFoot afterwards for cocktails
and dancing. Meet up with a few more friends and proceeded to have
a BLAST!!!
Overall a great party and I feel blessed to have such great friends.

I got to participate in my first CL Holiday Wednesday the 10th.
It was a BLAST and I got to see people outside the office for the first
time since starting at my new job (almost 3 months already!!!).
We had it at Old Venice and there was an open bar and so much food
that I felt like I could be a glutton... BUT I controlled myself
with both (Work RULE #3 - Never get drunk at a work party).
Overall it was awesome and I look forward to many more with my new family.

Recently saw this trailer on TV and have something to look forward to again.
A new comedy directed by John Hamburg, which has worked with Judd Aptow (and
give that feel to this movie)
It stars Paul Rudd, Jason Segel, Rashida Jones, Andy Samburg, and JK Simmons.
[ Trailer ]
Went to a sneak preview of Valkyrie last night. The Brian Singer
directed piece was great and suspenseful making it overall enjoyable.
Obviously we know the end of the movie (as in the case of all bio pictures)
but it was still riveting, with an all-star cast, including Kenneth Branagh,
Tom Wilkinson, General Zod (Terence Stamp) and Eddie Izzard.
The cinematography and story telling is grand. The scenes around the
assassination attempt have you on the edge of your seat.
I thought it was better than Superman and the X-Men movies, but the bar
still sits with The Usual Suspects, which I know is very high indeed.
GRADE: B+
Hollywood, the bunch of retards that they are, have decided to ruin
more of my childhood memories by re-making more movies from the 80's:
Red Dawn, Clash of the Titans, Robocop, A Nightmare of Elm Street,
The Karate Kid, Weird Science, Footloose, The Thing, and Romancing
the Stone are in the works.
As well as THEY LIVE, originally staring Rowdy Roddy Piper,
which is also the basis for my beloved OBEY.

Smallville news
Even though this season is better than the last couple, I'm still
glad that they have decided that this year will be the last. A couple
of cool things happening this year is the introduction of DOOMSDAY,
Toyman, more of the Justice League (No Batman or Bruce Wayne
though.... BOO!!!) and the Legion of Super Heroes.
Unfortunately, there will probably still no Clark Kent in the
Superman suit because Warner Bros. doesn't want to mess with any
potential big screen stuff.

Thanksgiving might be the greatest Holiday that we have here in the USA. When else do you get to gorge
yourself with some of the most yummy food and not care about calories or how fat you feel days later.
If you are like me or other health conscious individuals, I hit the gym the day after anyways, so I feel like its
a normal meal. Don't get me wrong - I LOVE TO EAT!!! And this year was like any other. I had Thursday through
Sunday off, as well as the majority of Wednesday too. That was awesome and very relaxing.
The real KILLER was the drinking, which basically started Wednesday night, when I attended the Belly Up to see
Buck O'Nine, and continued through Saturday. Hargis was in town and saw him Friday night. That was cool.
On top of this weekend kicking off the "Holiday Season", I was looking at my calendar and saw I have an Xmas
function or Holiday party every week until after New Years. YIKES!!!!! Be still my liver. Plus I am in
preparation mode for my own XXX Holiday Party.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!!

In TV news:

preceeded by a clip show special at 8pm reports the trades.
----------
The Simpsons should bypass GUNSMOKE as the longest running tv show. The cast signed on for 3 years. Interesting facts you may not have known:
Do you know comic book guy’s real name? It’s Jeff Albertson.
The Simpsons have e-mail, apparently. Lisa has said her email address
is “smartgirl63@yahoo.com”, and Homer’s is “chunkylover53@aol.com”.
What is the name of Mr. Burns’ fighting monkey? Furious George.

WOW!!!!! All I can say. I was shocked the way the results rolled in last night.
I wasn't even planning on watching TV and election result. Probably jaded the
way the last elections have gone with so much BS in Florida & Ohio that I
figured results wouldn't come in until days after.
Boy, was I wrong.
But I did see the HOPE in many of the people's eyes on TV and
hope our President Elect can deliver on the promises he has made.
It is a time for our country to come together for real change.
I do believe he can and I want our country to be proud and
patriotic again.
![](http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3288/2981713561_815c98d3d1_o.jpg)
Probably the most important election in our lifetimes will take place tomorrow.
Not that I don't want to harp on the State of the Nation, but the only thing
I really want is for everyone to get out and voice their opinion and make
their vote count.

Exxon Mobil: Biggest profit in U.S. history - Largest U.S. oil company surges past analyst estimates to post net income
of $14.83 billion.
Exxon Mobil (XOM, Fortune 500), the leading U.S. oil company, said its third-quarter net profit was $14.83 billion, or $2.86
per share, up from $9.41 billion, or $1.70, a year earlier. That profit included $1.45 billion in special items.
The company's prior record was $11.68 billion in the second quarter of 2008.

Sometimes life comes at you fast... faster than you know what to do.
Car wreck. Lose your job. Finding out someone is cheating on you.
THANKFULLY, things in my life are relatively steady and stable.
In my dating life, the turmoil I allow is what holds me back. I fall
"in Like" with a girl and lately, she inevitably lets me down.
Dating has not been easy lately. Fun in some ways, but not fully
rewarding in many others. These are the choices that define us.
Do I continue seeing her? How do I really feel about her?
What do I get out of it (short & long term)?
We makes choices on a daily basis.
Even Today, made a hard decision to stay in SD and miss my favorite
band playing a small, intimate show in the City of Angels.
WH... WH... WHAT???!!! You may ask WHY NOT go? Just wasn't feeling
it in my gut - leaving work early, relying on other people to go with,
driving to LA, waiting hours for a show, getting out late, driving home
late and not getting much sleep. I ask myself - is it about comfort?
Getting old and complacent? No longer the adventurous guy I once was?
Maybe too much of a planner and thinker now.
Will the FOO FIGHTERS be there next time I want to see them?
One can only hope.
All I can say is - no matter WHAT your choices are, make sure to live
without regrets.
Saw Chris Cornell last night - 2nd time in 2 months.
Performed his new album in the entirety along with MEGA producer Timbaland.
All I can say is.... AWESOME!!! Really looking forward to the new cd.
Went with Amy, the girl I met at the last CC show. Good times. :)

As most know, I love this time of year - The Fall, ROCKtober,
Hot Days, Cold Days, change in the air and the imminent return
of the Holidays -Halloween, Thanksgiving and of course Christmas.
Oh and that little thing called my Birthday. I always like to
reflect on my life and the things I value and am thankful for:
My Family
My Friends (some close like Family)
Mister Surly
The Audi (new tires and all)
My New Job
Rocking out to the Foo Fighters
Drinking Captain Morgan's at the BlueFoot
Great Food
Even better Sex
Going to the gym
Loving my career path
Great visual media (TV!!!)
Travel, and traveling more
Watching the ponies in the summer
Drinking Mojitos at then Hotel Del
Parties at the Compound
Riding my bike through North Park
Listening to the soundtrack of my life
Seriously, What the F@#K is wrong with the Chargers??!!!
I can't take the crappy way they are playing.
Defense - get it together. Offense - Catch some balls.
Philip - Stop making bad throwing decisions. LT - Get healthy.
I can't stand to see you not run like I know you can.
If we expect to be considered along the "Elite", Act like it.
Finish a game strong. Play like winners. Even when we win
(like against the Jets) we let the other team back into it.
Withe the Colts and Pats struggling we should be DOMINATING the
AFC... Not the BILLS (are you kidding me??).

Another weird week, but actually good for the most part.
Started at my new job - Very nice people, better pay
and waaaaay better hours. On the hunt for some freelance
projects as well. Haven't gotten into the rhythm of the early
time yet (starting at 7:30am) and fitting the gym in hasn't
worked that great, but I will figure it out.
Supposed to be going to the Raconteurs this week (I think)...
Well, I was asked to go bya girl I was hanging out but haven't
heard if I'm still invited.
The Chargers are 0-2 going into a week 3 showdown on Monday night
against the Jets and Bret Favre in SD. Should be a great game!!!
Oh, and the Padre season is FINALLY almost over.... Maybe if sleep
well for a couple days I can wash away the atrocity of the season.
Tonight is the Emmys . Should be good and fun as always.
It also signals.... Premiere Week!! A lot of TV shows this week.
Monday night is the HEROES premiere I saw back in July but
looking forward to seeing it again (It was AWESOME!!!!!)
Two and a Half Men, HIMYM, Earl, The Office
... all the great shows start this week.
Still haven't caught up on True Blood, but I hear it's good.
Been enjoying the Sons of Anarchy on FX and the first 2 episodes
of It's Always Sunny... were great!!
"Television... Teacher, Mother, Secret Lover"
- Homer Simpson

I've been enjoying my vacation week o the fullest. Don't get me wrong - I've been busy. BUT, I've also made time for fun in the sun.The great thing about San Diego, is it stays warm and sunny through October. Sometimes even longer. Took a trip up the coast to Laguna Beach for lunch & drinks on Wednesday. Had a blast!!! [ Pixs ]
Been hitting the gym, playing basketball and staying active, considering coming into a new place, you never know what to expect as far as hours and how your schedule shakes out.
Should be a fun-filled weekend as well. "All smiles here... How's it looking from over there??"
![](http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3013/2839801751_e7ce4e5b90.jpg)
So after a tumultuous year and a half with VR, I have left their stranglehold
to venture outwards - to be a free spirit again, with time to do freelance,
work somewhat normal hours again, and actually have a life.
I have things in place so I will be working full time, as well as freelance
on the side. More on that in the coming weeks.
I have a plan for a new BLOG as well, that I will be starting work on while
on vacation this week (That's right - a week off...)
Other than that - Football began yesterday.... with an astounding THUUUUD
from the Chargers. Oh well. Denver is next week.
Been busy-busy going out to shows, happy hours, bbq's and fun galore.
Hanging out with a couple nice girls. Always a good time.
Just glad things will be slowing down soon, at least for a little while.

Labor Day weekend and no plans..... BUT great things to come.
Saw Chris Cornell Friday and he puts on a KICK ASS show!!!
He plays for 2+ hours, no opening band, and played solo stuff,
including new stuff produced by Timbaland (AWESOME!!!), Soundgarden,
AudioSlave and Teple of the Dog.
Couldn't find a date for the show but met up with some friends there.
Even gave my number to a nice girl that caught a pick from CC at the show.
Hot girl that loves live music... Great potential there. :)
The rest of the weekend was fun as well. No big Labor Day plans,
but will do some drinks and BBQ here at the compound.

Guy Richie finally has decided to pull his 'ead from his 'arse and put out a proper flick.
My favorite has always been Lock, Stock and 2 Smoking Barrels but this new one, RockNRoller,
looks to kick it into high gear.
AWESOME cast includes Gerard Butler, Thanndie Newton, Ludacris, Tom Wilkinson & Jeremy Piven.
See for yourself

Less Than Jake / Goldfinger Pixs
Went to the LTJ / Goldfinger extravaganza on Tuesday night, unknown
to myself that a deep, dark cold was brewing under the surface.
So I am just getting over a terrible cold that is going around. UUUGHHH!!!
Missed a couple days of work. Catching up on emails & phone calls.
Feeling TONS better - physically at least. Emotionally... ummm.
I would ask if I could get a "take back" but that seems almost
TOO fitting.
More later...

Welcome to another installment of "Who's the bigger GEEK".
Well, I know I'm for sure near the top of my friends, but that's okay.
Another year of Comic Con has come and gone. This year I actually
had a blast and felt really excited about going - especially as much
as I did. I planned out my schedule a lot more loose (except Saturday)
and had a lot more FUN!!!
Went down Wednesday night for Preview Night, which unlike other years
of PreNight, was a complete cluster fuck of a turn out. Only people with
4-Day passes can attend, but I think EVERYONE that got one showed up
on Wednesday too!!! It was packed. So I bought everything I planned on
getting that night so I wouldn't miss any Exclusives and headed home to
be ready for Day 1.
Day ONE (Thursday) - Super fun and relaxed. Way better crowd. Saw everything
I wanted. Sat in on a TORCHWOOD panel. Bought a couple of small things.
Took tons of Pixs!!! But didn't overdue it.
Day TWO (Friday) - Great day. Packed but still fun. Sat in on a
Coming Attractions / Trailers panel. AWESOME!!! Ran into some friends
(as per usual) and met for some cocktails at the Hard Rock Hotel after
the Con. Didn't want to get to crazy - busy & long day Saturday.
Day THREE (Saturday) - Had Stef come over early so we could go get
breakfast and down to the Con for the 11am HEROES panel, we were both
DYING to see. She had never been before so it was treat for both of us.
Stood in the loooooooooooooongest line in the world but still managed to
get in, probably because the Hall they have it in holds 6500! Yikes!!
The panel was great - the whole cast was there, they did some Q&A, but the
coolest thing was they showed Season 3 Episode 1 in it's entirety, some 8 weeks
before it comes on TV. All I can say is AWESOME episode!!!! A great one for
the series to come back to.
Walked around after that, opting out of the LOST panel. Got Stef some free shwag
and bought some stuff. Left and grabbed a bite and a nap. But headed back Dtown
for a premiere of THE ROCKER staring Rain Wilson (Dwight from the Office).
On my way to the theater, I see SYLAR going into a liquor store. I rush in behind him
and nervously ask for a picture. I don't get star-struck but did in this
case for some reason. It was brief but super cool. Hit the theater, saw the free flick
and Dwight himself came out to talk to the audience. Very cool guy. Home to relax
and reflect on a kick-ass Con.
[ PICTURES HERE ]
Vacation maybe over but I still have Less Than Jake coming up.

[ carmen and myself showing some love ]
I had a ROCKIN' great time this weekend. It all started off with my 20 Year
Reunion on Friday. i was on the committee, so I was responsible for set-up
and break down of the dinner with my other co-committee members. That was
all fine except for not really drinking because of it, but I would get my
fill on Saturday night.
Met up with Barnes, Pricilla, and Ditzer at the Del before hand for a drink
and watching the sunset. Then off to Coronado Cays and their clubhouse
(which was fantastic). Saw a bunch of people, reconnected with friends
(Hargis did show up..... amazing!!) and talked with friends from in town.
It was really a blast! It wrapped up at 11pm which meant we could then start
the breakdown after that. While a large group went to drink at the Del,
I got home by 1am after the clean up.
[ Night ONE ]
I did wake up early though because I wanted to see THE DARK KNIGHT over
the weekend and that would be my only chance. So I went with TK from work
and all I can say is "WOW!!!!! FUCKING AWESOME". Then out for night two of
the reunion. Chad, his bother John and his wife Kim, and myself grabbed dinner
at the Yardhouse before getting to BASIC for the drinking portion of my weekend...
and boy did I ever. It was cool because different people showed up on Saturday
night that weren't there the first night. A bunch of the H20 guys (PE Omahan,
Joel, Wade, John Munch), Schudel and Jamie Jeffers, along with all my regular
friends. By 11pm though it got crowded and loud. Somehow I convinced a large
group to head to MY bar- the Bluefoot, to finish off the evening.
[ Night TWO ]
The next morning (hung over) I rolled to breakfast and the Track (yeah, Del Mar!)
with StefLenk which I have hung out with a handful of times. She is AWESOME!!!
Things on that front are good as well.
Now.. this week is the CON. YIKES!!!! Guess I will catch up on sleep
next week (after Less Than Jake that is).
![](http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3238/2671438784_12fb8a6834_o.jpg)
Wednesday is Opening Day at Del Mar. Not going to make it,
but I will be going once or twice in the first couple of weeks.
Really looking forward to it this year!!!
If you have never gone or haven't gone in a while,
give me a call... we will hit it up.
![](http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3197/2657942638_8b87b6c207.jpg)
July.... Summer has REALLY arrived!!!. We have had a couple of hot spells in SD,
but much more seasonal lately.
I am knee deep in at work. Yamaha campaign 2009 is in full effect. Now starts the real
work, when I am here 10 - 12 hours a day, weekends, etc. I do have some vacation time
this month thanks to some great advanced planning on my part.
This time of the year for me is always jam-packed and chock-full of goodness and this
year will not be an exception. Next week is the 20 year HS reunion I have been talking about
for months. I cannot wait to see a lot of people that I have been emailing and catching
up with. Also the ponies start running at Del Mar again next week. Not hitting up
opening day but will be there plenty this season (I even got some passes to ensure it).
Comic Con starts the week after the reunion. There is a Culture & Cocktails squeezed in
there too.
Add on concerts including Less Than Jake TWICE in two weeks, Me First and the Gimmie
Gimmies, The Racontuers, Street Scene (back Downtown), The Nightmarchers, Devo,
Warped Tour 2008, Simple Plan, N.E.R.D., The Bravery, and Flogging Molly...
A lot of great shows!!
Went to a sneak preview of Hellboy 2 on Tuesday. Good sequel. As good as the first one.
Next week - The Dark Knight!!!! I've been waiting sooo long for this one and it sounds
like it will not disappoint. There are a handful of other releases this year (even a HP) but
nothing will come close to how much Batman rocks!!
Job. Good but still waaaaaaaaay underpaid. Trying to find freelance lately has been a task.
I'm sure both freelance and the market will open up more in the next couple of months.
Seeing a couple of nice girls. Got rid of a couple of headaches. Having fun in the Summer.
That's all I can ask for. FUN.

As we close in on our 20th HS Reunion, the nostalga sets in... the fun times,
the broken hearts, the fights, the (from the pictures) drunk times - but all
of them good memories.

It's true. No matter how hard you try to get to that point
you strive for - the Universe decides it's not n the cards
for you. Don't get me wrong, I feel VERY fortunate for my life.
I have my career that I chose to pursue. I have some of the
greatest, die-hard friends in the world. I still have my core
group but have expanded it so I have a massive group of friends
and acquaintances. Sometimes it's nice to have so many choices
in who to hang out with... but sometimes the true person you want
to hang with is unavailable or whatever.
I have had a RE-self-realization this weekend....
that you CAN NOT change people.
You can't have them be the way you want all the time.
Their personalities and way of living is not going to change
unless they want to change it. Deal with it. The same with my
Passive-Aggressive personality. Not going to change. if they act
a way now, it's likely not to change just because you think you are
"special" enough to make them realize something special in themselves.
Not gonna happen.
Just because you like the way someone makes you feel - they might
not feel the same way (yes, I'm having a woman issue, as you can
probably tell). But this is the same for all people - your friend
is an introvert, your dad is an asshole, your boyfriend always puts
himself first, your boss is a liar, the girl you like is a drunk...
well, you get the idea.
So, I go back to my last post. Putting me and my needs first.
Top priority. Hang with friends that want to be with me (not always
concerned with what they are missing out on). Spend time with a woman
that likes me for me - but for us both to realize what it is - friends?
fwb? something more? Find a job that pays me what I'm worth and
appreciates the job I do.
Happiness - not out of reach... Just tougher to grab and hold onto
some days than others.
Lately I feel like no matter how I try, I'm dodging Landmines
and Landslides... Relationships, Work, Friends, Freelance, Worrying,
Stressing, Cussing, making me a generally unhappy person. Eating me
up some days. I'm real tired of it. Must change. Have to change to survive.
I am alone in this. No one else is there to pull me through. A test?
Perhaps. I know I am strong. I will change.
I know I am a Passive Aggressive person. I never though there was
anything wrong with this... People must not like it. I've been called
out on now twice recently. Let me be frank- it's not going to change.
Deal with it. I put up with other peoples shortcoming every fucking day.
I don't have the power to change people - I realize this. So I say "No more".
Not me. Let them destroy themselves in any way they want.
Time for me to get back to Me.

Memorial Day today and just taking it easy. Treating it like a Sunday,
getting shit done before the start of my week back at work. I've had
the last 6 days off which has been awesome - very relaxing.
The original plan for today was to try to get Foxboro HotTubs tixs for
tonights show at the Belly Up, but it seemed like waaaaay to much trouble
for it. Not into them enough to wait in line 12 hours and "maybe" get
tickets. So instead... laundry, uploading pictures, scanning stuff, dishes
and a plethora of mundane stuff. That's the real reason to take time off
for me - to relax and get refocused on work, but also to do all the stuff
I never have time to do.
Had fun over the vacation, even if the weather caused me to postpone
the annual Memorial Day BBQ for 2 weeks. It should be sunny and warmer
by then, right?
Fun stuff I did on my vacation: Saw IronMan (great flick!!!), rode my bike,
finished a freelance project, organized freelance work, went to Pt Loma /
Cabrillo Monument / Tide Pools, BBQed, drank a LOT, took my myself out
to dinner and hung out with friends. Fun. Fun. Fun.
In music news, a couple weeks until the new Less Than Jake CD drops but
the first single is on their site.... check it.

The 3 Year anniversary of my Blog is today. I always enjoy looking back
and reading my old posts. It makes me realize how much I've changed and
also stayed the same.
2005 - I was dealing with KP, the death of my Grandfather and
broken relationships.
2006 - I was trying to change things in my life, working for Sony Online,
hanging out with Ally, and playing the hell out of "In With the Out Crowd"
by LTJ.
2007 - I bought my Audi, working like crazy at VR, went to see a bunch
of great bands, and was busy with freelance.
Today - I'm busy working for VR, still busy with freelance, dating
crazy girls (but trying to stop), BUT generally happy.
I guess that is all I can ask is to be happy, to continue to make
myself happy and not to settle for anything less.
Just living my life moment to happy moment, and not letting
the little bumps slow me down...
In other news, my annual Memorial Day party is in a week. Looking forward
to entertaining, having my friends over for BBQ and croquet. Western theme
this year. Should be a blast. We are having a bit of a heat wave this weekend.
Spend some time at Lisa-Lisa's pool today with some of her and Johnny's
friends (I was the only one without tats)
One Year Anniversary of getting my car... Still smiling about it.
Sometimes I miss things. Right now I am missing music.
Haven't been listen that much to anything in particular.
One of the reasons I'm probably not on my game or happy
with things.
So I uploaded some pictures tonight and a new video...
One that makes me smile ear to ear every time I watch it.
I shot it at the Foo Fighters show back in March and it
is AMAZING...

I am Broken.
It was brought to my attention that I like to date "Broken" girls.
That I like the ones that are HOT but with MAJOR ISSUES. The ones
that are a (HOT) mess, off kilter, completely kooky and just plain crazy.
That I invite that drama into my life....
Probably true.
But here is the truth... I probably wouldn't do that unless I was broken myself.
That I think I can fix their messed up lives. To be the "Problem Solver".
According to the Jung Typology test I am a ESFJ (Extraverted/Sensing/Feeling/Judging).
Which does fall into the category of wanting to help people and to fix their lives.
Probably not the best girls for me to meet. I should be seeking out a stable, nurturing
relationship that would help me grow. But for some reason I get the crazy, fighting,
drunk, cheating, horrible bitches that are usually fun for a while, BUT time shows
their true faces (two faced??).
Now obviously there is a reason that I feel I need to fix these women.
Probably stemming from the broken relationship between my parents
(divorced when I was 7) and not having any control over that - being a control
person now, I feel like I need to "fix" all that is wrong with these women
so I can have a normal relationship with them. This is all based on an amateur
diagnosis of my psyche.
Again, maybe I need to fix me before entering back into the dating realm...??
Maybe I need to start with a normal, non-fucked-up relationship that can
sustain life, as opposed to bleeding out like a puncture to the carotid artery.
I feel I am over the DRAMA and BS, but still get drawn into it.
But as of now, I seem to be doing the same thing... over and over and over again.
Broken.... with a smile on my face.
"I seem to think I think I got a little situation
So listen to me sister listen maybe you can help
I think I give a lot of problems my consideration
But not for me it always seem to be for someone else"

IN NBC news:

in early February. It's expected some of the actors will be migrated over to

"Friday Night Lights" has been renewed for a 13-episode third season.
In an odd move though, it will debut on DirecTV on October 1st and then
re-air on NBC starting in February.

It will be large enough (we think). Dinner. Mingling... Fun.
The theme is Mexico and the good times there (Chuckles gets the nod for the idea)
The locale for the Mixer Saturday night was chosen by yours truly. It is Basic Bar,

Great site for Advertising Info and thoughts:
Advertising for Peanuts
Here is the latest...
A fresh perspective on advertising
Most people don't want advertising.
They find it annoying, intrusive, unwanted, unnecessary, manipulative, etc.
Most people don't fully pay attention to ads when they do end up noticing them.
Ads are rarely (if ever) the reason for watching a TV show, reading a magazine,
visiting a website, driving down the road, etc. They are always secondary
(except on rare occasions like the super bowl).
I could go on, but I won't. You get the point.
You're probably thinking: oh boy, here it comes, he's going to tell us
that advertising doesn't work. Quite the contrary. Advertising does work.
Subtly. Its sort of like growing older. It happens, but we don't keep track
of it very often. Mostly we celebrate our age every year, not everyday.
The same for advertising. Messages are shaping our thoughts and desires
everyday, but we don't internalize them as they come, rather we wait until
the time when we need to buy something or when we're having a conversation.
And even then the internalization is often less rational and overt than we think.
This is a strange paradox: we ignore advertising, but advertising still works.

The Battle is over and as expected Blu-Ray has beat down HD-DVD
into a bloody pulp. Well, at least they dominated the market enough
for Toshiba to throw in the towel.
So thinking of going out and buying a Blu-ray player right now?
Hold it a moment. If you've already bought a stand-alone Blu-ray
player other than a Playstation 3 then you'll be stuck with the HD-DVD
people - ie. likely to throw out your player in the near future.
Only players capable of playing Blu-ray's 2.0 profile (aka. BD-Live)
are truly future proof. At present, the only player capable of doing
that is the PS3, though Panasonic and Sony are expected to release
players soon that use the standard. We're also still a good year or
so off from the holy grail - a region free Blu-ray and DVD player
that can play either format disc from anywhere in the world.

This week brought the announcement of Polaroid stopping production
of their instant Film by 2009. They will actually stop when there is
enough to last THROUGH 2009, meaning stopping sometime this year.
They stopped making new cameras 2 years ago.
I like the kitsch and look of the Polaroid. It's cool on many levels.
It produces in ways Digital never will.
It's a sad day for Artists and Photographers alike.
I attended the first meeting of the Helix High School 2008, 20 year reunion last night.
It was fun seeing everyone - there were 6 of us. Patti Horton (Delgadillo) is the
ring-leader and main organizer. She is getting a lot of help from people beside the other
5 of us (Crystal, Karin S, Kathy A, and Steve T) so I feel like the whole process will run smoothly.
We discussed the Agenda, places to have the Dinner, Mixer & Picnic. Some of it seems finalized,
other things should be decided upon in the next month or so. Half of the commitee is going to look at
a place that is reserved for the Dinner. The place sounds cool, but specifics need to be ironed out.
We each have a handful of small tasks that should move the process along smoothly.
Right now (preliminary) schedule is as follows:
Friday July 18th - DINNER
Coranado Cays Clubhouse - Coranado
Saturday July 19th - MIXER
TBD
Sunday July 20th - PICNIC
Ski Beach

Thank you TV Execs for being such assholes and ruining a great TV season.

idea is child's play and can do websites themselves... You are so correct!!!

AS almost anyone that knows me knows - I think the FOO FIGHTERS are the
greatest LIVE band there is. Not only that, they are original as hell when
it comes to videos. Their latest for "Long Road to Ruin" is like a 70's
soap opera and is a riot. They shot some of it in a mall in LA but only
part made it into their video HERE is the whole thing.

How do you know when you like someone?
How do you know when you are REALLY attracted to them?
What makes us attracted to each other?
Why would I like her MORE than I like her?
Blonde? Brunette? Short? Tall? How Old or Young?
Nice Smile? Good Smell? Great Body?
What I have found out about myself is dating for me
is like Exercise.I enjoying doing it. It's sometimes hard.
But the payoff is that great feeling
you get.
I always am lucky enough to talk to girls without
feeling intimidated.I think it's an acquired skill -
the more you do it, the better you get.
Practice makes Perfect. Confidence is reassuring.
But WHERE to meet these lovelies?
In a Bar? At an Event? Happy Hour?
At Work? Through Friends?
Maybe Online is more your thing?
The taboo is gone, correct???
I have found a combination of ALL these places is
a good start.Spread it out. Look everywhere.
Don't limit yourself. Meet a LOT of people. You never know
where she may be hiding...
Thankfully for me, I'm not in a place right now to think
about it. More important things weighing heavy on my mind.
Life stuff. Career stuff. Women stuff is taking a back seat.
I think part of me has finally decided that it is nice
to have a girlfriend / significant other / wife, but if it
doesn't happen (along with kids) I think I would be alright.

A promo photo is out for BSG Season 4 in the Entertainment Weekly. The photo reveals other spoilers though - Roslin burning something important, a new version of Number Six called Natalie who leads a renegade group of Cylons with a separate agenda, Apollo staying a civilian, Tyrol using a knife in relation to his hybrid child, and both Helo and Boomer looking intimidated by someone.
