There, and Back Again... Part 3

/ 23.May
The next day was a beach day with perfect weather, lounge chairs, strong drinks and the warm Pacific. There
is nothing like having drinks delivered to you while sitting on a tropical beach. We swam and sunned for a big
portion of the day.
That night we had a sunset cruise, which turned out to be pretty fucking cool. There were only 6 passengers
plus a small crew on a HUGE double-decker party catamaran. We cruised off the coast of Manuel Antonio for
4 hours, enjoying the cool ocean breeze, finally docking in a small alcove for some ocean snorkeling and
swimming. Tasia even talked me into jumping off the top of the huge boat. The view of the coast, the water
& sunset were spectacular!! The kind-of weird sing-along with our guide, even supplying us with instruments
(Tasia on the COWBELL!!) was weird but memorable.
The Costa Rican people have their “Traditional fare but also love their “Americanized” food too. We tried a
pizza at our resort for dinner, and let me tell you, it wasn’t that bad. Not great, but satisfying.

 / 24.May
We were supposed to kayak and snorkel this morning but the weather was uncooperative. The rain and wind
was brutal, making adventure time difficult. So instead we opted to walk down towards the beach (a 20 minute
walk) to check out other restaurants, hotels and shops. Once at the beach we settled into a bar for a couple of
drinks while the rain came on shore. By the time the sun came out (around 1pm) we ended up heading out and
having a great beach day. The hot sun, warm water and fruity drinks served to us… We got spoiled!
We did a little shopping for gifts and trinkets to take back as well.
That evening we tried a recommended Italian place that was good. Tasia had been wanting a whole lobster
since we got here and was not disappointed. It was big and YUMMY!! We had a few drinks at the sports bar
to finish out the night.
