Over last weekend, we
hosted the annual (Post) Memorial Day BBQ. This time, without the comfort and
control of
the Compound, and without a backyard (with grass) big enough to support the festivities, we relocated to Morley Field.

It took a little
organizing, a COMPLETELY packed car, and dragging the grill a block and a half
down the ally,
but the BBQ went off without a hitch.

We knew this was to be
Todd (and family) last hoorah at a MMD-BBQ and his last chance to his claim of
the
Golden Mallet. The battle was fierce with Jimmy taking an early lead, but got stuck at the 3rd wicket. The fight
came down to the end between the Champ (Todd), the Upstart (Billy) and the Newcomer (Pat), which was
claimed by Pat. The food and drink was a plenty. I got drunk and a little emotional over Todd moving away
within the next few weeks.

I will take the chance
here to say - It has been an honor to know you my friend for some 25 plus years
and you
will be missed. A True Champion and a Best Friend.
