These Days
I am EXTREMELY blessed in my life these days. Lucky for love, great friends & family, and an awesome
career. When I have (or make) opportunities is when I excel. I had one of these on Monday.
Through awesome friendships I have made, I found out the location of a "secret" Foo Fighters show
in LA at the Roxy. Tasia had been jealous and wanting to see the Foo at a small venue since she
knew I saw them at Paladino's in December (another show I was GRATEFUL to get into). So we snuck up
to LA and got into a line with 40 other early birds on Sunset. By 5pm the line was probably 500 deep.
We got our special WHITE LIMO wristbands and were guaranteed admission to the 3rd small
secret show they were going to perform.
We spent the remainder of the evening shopping and eating dinner. Outside the venue was a madhouse.
We strolled right in and waited. Before the FF took the stage (at 10:30pm), Dave's old D.C. band
SCREAM performed, as well as Bob Mould (Husker Du). Both were great and well received by the audience.
Famous people spotted in the crowd were Nick Hexum & PNut of 311, Kat Von D and Ron Jeremy.
The Foo performed their new album front-to-back. Kicking it off Bridge Burning and Dave screaming
his balls off "These are my Famous Last Words!!!". 50 or so minutes and 11 songs later, we stood
slack-jawed. AWESOME!!!
They then proceeded to play a "greatest hits" set - All My Life, Times like These, Generator, My Hero,
Up in Arms, Big Me, Cold Day in the Sun, I'll Stick Around, Learn to Fly, Wattershed, For all the Cows,
Stacked Actors, Monkeywrench, Hey Johnny Park, Everlong, and an encore of Aurora, The Pretender,
and This is a Call.

Up in Arms (plus DG talking)
Pixs HERE
Seriously...... So FUCKING Awesome!!! Sometime words cannot describe. After 1am we did the long drive
back to SD, but had a great time and an experience that most will not have in their life. Here's to Lucky #13.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
One of these days the ground will drop out from beneath your feet
One of these days your heart will stop and play it's final beat
One of these days the clocks will stop and time won't mean a thing
One of these days their bombs will drop and silence everything
But it's alright
Yet it's alright
I said it's alright
Easy for you to say
Your heart has never been broken
Your pride has never been stolen
Not yet not yet
