Tegan
Tasia
and myself have been talking about getting a dog for a while. We knew it would
be a HUGE commitment,
especially with Mister running the household for 6 years (he’s 10 now). But after a lot of discussion, looking at
breeders and types of dogs, we decided upon getting a Pembroke Welsh Corgi puppy. We’ll be getting her at 8
weeks old. We have been talking and skyping with the breeder, and have seen some really adorable videos of
the newest member of our household – Tegan. We will pick her up officially over Labor Day weekend. Add in
Tasia’s parents coming into town that week too, we will be so f@#king busy it will be scary. But we are really
excited and can’t wait!!! Oh and there will a LOT of pictures too…

Asunder
We had this on our calendar for a while – the return of Fang Island!! They put out their sophomore album
“MAJOR” a few weeks earlier but I had it for about a month. It was going to be at a bar that we hadn’t been to
yet – Soda Bar on El Cajon Blvd. Small but really cool and a good set-up for bands. So this last Saturday night
be got there right before the opener – Adebisi Shank was to go on. They are a progressive instrumental rock
band from Ireland. Really fun live!! Then came Fang Island, which rocked the house but only for 40 minutes
(tops!), which sucked. Seriously the shortest set I had seen in a long time, but it really ROCKED!!
Great show nonetheless.
We have a pretty hectic concert schedule over the next 2 months, but i am EXCITED about it!!
The Shins. Head and the Heart. The Hives. Less Than Jake. Frightened Rabbit.

Diamonds and Dirt
I’ve been able to hit up the Track a couple of times so far, and have had a blast each time. Went by myself,
with Tasia, and with Shasta. Been lucky, won some $$$ and on bad days have broken even, including tickets,
seats and parking. I really do love the pageantry and feel of the track, beside the normal gambling and drinking
aspects of it. Definitely going to try to squeeze in a couple more times this year, and get a table with some
friends next year.
( Here's a piece I created that didn't get used for DMTC... oh well)

Life Happens
We
were supposed to have a house guest this weekend – Tasia’s friend Lindsey from
Texas. Unfortunately, her
Grandmother passed away the day she was to fly out so she had to switch flights and the vacation plans went
out the window. We had some stuff planned but nothing we couldn’t switch, except a happy hour with people
from Tasia’s work (because Lindsey used to work there too) at La Puerta, downtown. It was fun and we made
the best of a weekend. Plans change and things happen in life. Be flexible with your plans because life throws
curve balls, and be sure to live life to the fullest because you never know what will happen next.

Dos
Today I hit the 2 year mark with Tasia. Crazy, right??!!! That time has really flown by. We definitely savor it and
make the most of our time together. We do a lot together, but still find time to do the things we want alone or
with our friends. Our lives haven’t changed that much, but have also become completely new. Living together
has definitely has made me a better, more tolerant person that tries to be less controlling. I have someone that
is awesome, loves me unconditionally, looks at me with passion, and always has my back. She's my #1 in so
many ways, I can't even count them all. I appreciate her more and more everyday. Awesome Sauce.
