The Perfect Kiss

That holiday girls LOVE & guys DREAD just passed 2 days ago.
I am referring to Valentine’s Day. I originally wasn’t planning on
doing anything. That was until Spork brought it up a couple of weeks ago.
He said “HEY, I don’t want to sit around on VDay. It would be good for
both of us to get out. I have an idea”. So he forwards me this invite
to HurryDate – one of the ones where you go to a bar & talk to a girl
for 5 minutes then move onto the next one. At first I was like
“Not for me, but thanks”. Then I decided to give it a try.

Long story short, Spork ends up meeting a girl and plans a date
for THAT night. He was “Don’t be mad at me but I haven’t had a date in…"
Well, you get the picture. I can’t hold it against him.
BUT, if it was me & she was that interested, I would have done it the
night AFTER Valentines Day (which he also had off). Saying to her
“I already made plans with my boys”. I talked to him & he said he had
a NICE date and will probably go out with her again.

As far as my night, Chazz & myself decided we weren’t going to
just sit home, so we went to hit up Downtown and see what betties
were roaming the streets looking for love (well, at least a little
valentines day passion).Unfortunately, it was dead as Dillinger down there.
We ate, walked around and checked out the scene. Nothing of note, except
a few fine specimens. No digits but fun none the less.

On another note, I received not just ONE but TWO text messages from
the EX that night, including the obligatory late-night one
(I think it came at 2am). You can’t say passion doesn’t die,
it just waits until all her other options run dry.

Welcome to the Jungle

Chuckles, T, Baby Dom & myself went to FrairFest 2006 at Petco yesterday.
It was a lot of fun. We grabbed breakfast at Brian's in Hillcrest, then left
for the park because we got to go in an hour early because of Chuckles being
a season-ticket holder. We got right in line to get autographs, which had
a messed-up system that I wrecked by getting multiple tickets for the signings.
Oh well. Their fault for being stupid. The weather was perfect - in the 80's,
blue sky and warm (almost too warm).

Anyways, we got Bruce Bochy, Dave Roberts & Khalil Green’s marks
so that was cool. Then we went through the belly of the Petco, onto
the field where we trotted around the bases. It was super cool just
being on the field, in the dugout, and the outfield. The access to
everything was amazing. We ran the horn and shot a ton of photos.

I ran into my old friend Marty (see “HOT Girl” from a previous entry)
that is working for XX Sports Talk radio and looking as good as ever.
The great thing about her is she is cute AND more knowledgeable than
a sports encyclopedia. I also worked on my “Game” at FriarFest by
talking to a girl & getting her number. More on that after I call her.

Overall a great day for the fans and baseball in general.
I am really looking forward to baseball season starting.

My Kickass Life

The wait is over. I finally have a Full time Job. HOORAY Me!!!!
The company is Van Vechten Creative in Mission Valley [ www.vvcreative.com ]
and I start on Monday February 13th. I am really excited.
It is a small company that will allow me participlate in all aspects
of the company as Art Director. Art Direct, Design, Project Manage,
meet with clients, press checks, and on and on. It should be a lot of
fun with a good, small group of people.

Over the weekend, I went out with Chazz to the Yardhouse for
Dinner & Drinks. We decided we both need to get off the bench and
onto the field in the “meeting girls” aspect of our lives.
He has been single for a couple of years and I am recently free
of the Lying/Cheating Shackle that was on my leg.

We were enjoying a few cocktails and our great dinner, talking about
GAME and that I felt my game was way below par. That we both needed to
get out more to bring up our average. FATE decided to Step in and
tell Chazz that he didn’t need as much practice as he thought.

As we were deeply entrenched over talking and checking out these
2 nuggets at the bar,a girl swings into our field of view and says
“Excuse me. I don’t normally do this but I was wondering if I could
have your number?” to Chazz. I think we were both in shock.
He was stumbling for words so his wingman throws his hand out to
introduce himself to “M” while Chazz got a card from his wallet.
After a couple of minutes of small talk, the sexy woman sauntered
back off to her friends. We had a good laugh and commented
on calling it a night while we were on a "High Note". I told peabrain
that he should have got her digits as well (I guess she came by again
while I was in the restroom and gave it to him).

Overall a great night.

Walking in My Shoes

I finished up my season of Flag Football on Saturday
with the winning touchdown at the end of the game.
